3 Off The Beaten Path Spots in Kapolei

3 Off The Beaten Path Spots in Kapolei

Vacationing in Hawaii is a dream come true for many. There is so much to see, do and experience on the various Hawaiian Islands. While partaking in the traditional tourist activities is fine, it never hurts to experience life like the locals. If you are traveling to Kapolei, there are a number of hidden gems that you’ll enjoy. The following are three off the beaten path spots in Kapolei.

Secret Beach

Yes, there are beaches everywhere in Kapolei. This is Hawaii, after all. However, sometimes you can find a little piece of heaven that is not known to many. This is the case with the appropriately named Secret Beach. Located on Ali’inui Drive not too far from the Four Seasons Resort, this beach is not the typical tourist destination that most are used to. It is a quiet, peaceful little beach that also has a lagoon. There are two small parking lots and restrooms as well as a little café for snacks. This is also a great spot for viewing sea turtles! If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the resort, Secret Beach is a pleasant alternative.

Zablan

Zablan is another small beach that is perfect for just relaxing without the hustle and bustle of tourists and resorts. Sometimes less is more, and this is the case with Zablan. This beach is located off of Zablan Park on Laumania Ave. There is a large parking lot with free parking as well as restrooms and an outdoor shower. There are beautiful rock formations here, perfect for the little ones to jump off. This beach is rarely crowded, and on occasion monk seals visit, which is fun to see!

Nanakuli Beach Park

This beach park is absolutely stunning because of its beautiful caves. Located on the far end of Keaulana Ave, this beach has what is referred to as the “Tunnels” of a “Mermaid Cave.” Once you get to the caves, carefully climb in to see the beautiful water and rock formations. It is best to go during low tide, as visiting the caves during high tide can be dangerous. This beach is usually not crowded, and there is free parking and restrooms onsite. It’s a perfect tucked away spot to venture off to while in Kapolei. Nanakuli Beach Park is definitely one of the best off the beaten path spots in Kapolei!
