Serving up the freshest fish on island, Fresh Catch Restaurant is the perfect spot for loading up your picnic basket, enjoying an informal lunch after a morning enjoying the waves, or meeting up with friends to swap tales of the beach over delicious local plate lunches. This informal, deli-style restaurant boasts more types of poke (fresh, raw fish marinated in soy sauce and served with local seaweeds, vegetables, and garnishes) than you have ever seen in one place, along with fresh seafood, plate lunches, and hearty soups.
Fish Caught Fresh
The passion project of local boy turned chef Reno Henriques, Fresh Catch puts the “island” in island-style poke. He serves up only the freshest seafood, obtained the same day from local fisherman at the nearby fish markets, adding his own unique twists and innovative takes on classic poke styles. Fresh Catch is one of the top Oahu restaurants because of its Spicy and Fireball Ahi, the Ahi and Aku, and the Kimchee Tako, but you really have to try them all to be sure.
The Menu at Fresh Catch Restaurant
In addition to the incredible lineup of fresh poke bowls, Fresh Catch also features daily and weekly chef’s specials. From classic plate lunches like the Steak Plate to Seared Ahi Salad and Garlic Chicken, it is all sure to please. Don’t miss the Tomato Basil Ono (Monday), the Seared Ahi with Aioli (Tuesday), and the Fish Tacos (Thursdays). If you are planning a big get together, check out their catering options including fully loaded poke and sashimi platters with thick cuts of the finest fish like ahi, Hamachi, aku, amaebi, unagi, and much, much more (Hint: if you don’t know the Japanese or Hawaiian names for the dishes, just ask! Fresh Catch’s friendly employees love talking fish and food!)
If you are looking for traditional island favorites, Fresh Catch Restaurant has a lot more than just raw fish. Folks come from miles around for their lightly breaded Ahi Katsu, the sumptuous Ahi Belly, and the classic Fish and Chips, perfectly battered and fried and served piping hot just for you.
Fresh Catch is one of the area’s favorite Oahu restaurants and features two locations, one in Kāne‘ohe and the other just around the corner from Waikīkī on Waialae Avenue.
