O‘ahu has a vibrant culinary scene, inspired by its location at the crossroads of East and West. Home to many celebrity chefs and many more up-and-coming culinary rock stars, there is no shortage of delicious everyday eats and high-end gourmet dining. But, if you like to pair a view with your meal, you can’t miss the breathtakingly beautiful and plate-licking-ly delicious (it’s a word, trust us) Haleiwa Beach House.
Charming Haleiwa Beach House Restaurant
Opposite Ali`i Beach in Haleiwa on O‘ahu’s scenic North Shore, this newly renovated icon boasts a comfortable country-style vibe throughout its brick and glass interior. Venture up the sweeping spiral staircase to the roof-deck bar and patio and drink in sweeping views of the ocean (followed by your favorite beverage, of course). From this gorgeous vantage point you can enjoy Haleiwa’s famed sunsets over the harbor as well as amazing views of the historic Lo Ko Ea fish pond. At both the veranda bar and the more intimate downstairs lounge you can choose from one of 10 house specialty cocktails like their signature takes on the Bloody Mary and classic Mai Tai, or select one of more than 40 premium wines and 16 select local and microbrewery beers. You can even take your drink outside to relax around one of the four fire pits, the perfect destination on a perfect Hawaiian night beneath the stars.
The Haleiwa Beach House Restaurant isn’t just about fabulous drinks on the beach (though that would be enough). Chef Chris Blanc takes your old favorites and presents in them in exciting new ways, with twists and flavor innovations sure to have you coming back for more. The Haleiwa Beach House is dedicated to serving only the freshest, most sustainable seafood and doing so with the attention and care that such delicious ingredients deserve. You’ll be hard pressed to choose between the Chef’s catch of the day, seven-spiced seared ahi, or the seared scallops served with a mango jalapeno glaze and charred pineapple salsa. Delicious steaks, chops, and sandwiches round out an incredible menu that will dazzle your taste buds.
Located at 62-540 Kamehameha Highway in Haleiwa, the Haleiwa Beach House is open Monday through Sunday, 11am to 9pm. Dinner is served until 8:45, and the bar is open until 10pm.
