October in Kapolei is warm and sunny, and while the weather may not get you into the Halloween spirit, there are plenty of fun Halloween Kapolei events to get you in the spooky mood. From pumpkin patches to haunted plantations and trick-or-treating, Kapolei has a bit of Halloween fun for everyone.

Aloun Farms Pumpkin Patch Festival

Every year, Aloun Farms hosts the Great Kapolei Pumpkin Picking Patch. This fun-filled family event includes hayrides, pony rides, food booths, picture booths, games, and of course, pumpkins! Admission into the festival is $3 per person (children under 2 are free) and parking and hayrides are free. The festival is cash only, so make sure to bring some cash with you, otherwise there is an ATM on site. The pumpkin patch is self-pick and pumpkins are priced based on their size. The farm also has self-pick sweet corn, string beans, and sunflower fields if you really want to get into the fall mood. This year’s festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday (October 13 – 14, 20 – 21, and 27 – 28) from 8: 30 a.m. – 5 p.m. The farm is located at 91-1440 Farrington Highway just east of downtown.

Haunted Plantation

If you are looking for a spooky way to celebrate Halloween Kapolei, then check out the Haunted Plantation. This haunted house is known as the scariest in Hawaii. The plantation is filled with more than 60 actors in professional costume and makeup hiding around the haunted plantation. The walk will take you through plantation homes, each decorated with a different horror and full of spooky creatures waiting to jump out and scare you. Tickets are cash only and cost $15 for general admission, $20 for a fast pass, and $30 for a VIP pass which gets you access to two secret rooms. The plantation is open from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. (they close at 9 p.m. on Halloween night) and it is recommended to get their early, as lines can get long and they eventually have to turn people away. The Haunted Plantation is at Hawaii’s Plantation Village, 94-695 Waipahu Street.

Halloween Kapolei Trick-or-Treat

Every year on Halloween the Kapolei Marketplace hosts a trick-or-treat event. This year’s event will be held on Wednesday, October 31 from 5 – 7 p.m. Participating stores and restaurants will be handing out candy to your costumed keiki (kids).
